- Checks multiple shapes. A combination of contact points, backstops and accessories may be selected and custom assembled to meet the most exacting needs
- Comparative measurements can be made of almost any shape: diameters, spheres, grooves, shafts, flats, etc.
- Specifically designed for Dorsey’s high amplification dial indicators with graduations as fine as .00002" (0.0005mm)
- Two frame sizes are available
- Hand held or mount on an optional bench stand
- Utilizes dial and digital indicators as well as electronic transducers. Display on electronic columns or remote digital devices. SPC compatible
- Tailstock fine adjustment of 1" maintains contact parallelism throughout the gaging range
- Standard thumb actuated retraction of .100" makes part loading easy
- Contacts suitable for most applications can be supplied from a wide variety in stock. All anvils utilize shank-lock design for maximum holding pressure

J2 Horizontal Jaw Gage

The model J2 jaw gage features Dorsey’s proven precision lapped chrome/steel bushing in a rigid cast iron frame. A series of interchangeable contacts, and adjustable two axis rest stage along with a micrometer tail stock combine to make the J2 jaw gage suitable for most high accuracy OD inspection tasks.

- Ideal for screw machine and small parts applications
- Check diameters, widths, lengths, and locations

SSG Style Snap Gages

This design of rugged production line snap gages has been the industry standard for more than 50 years. Dorsey offers this easily adjusted snap gage built to the same exacting specifications and precision as the original Standard Gage® product. Interchangeable repair parts for Standard Gage® snap gages are also available.
Features:
- .060" gaging travel is standard, optional with .100" or .500"
- Adjustable gaging pressure
- Well balanced precision machined aluminum jig plate frame
- Lower anvil features 1" travel micrometer style adjustment with rapid lock nut
- Collet mounted indicator can be rotated to suit
- 5/8" square solid carbide lapped anvils with generous lead radius
- Anvils are flat & parallel within .00015" on frame sizes below 4", within .0002" on 4"-8" frames, .00025" on 8-12" frames and within .0003" above 12"
- Nylon backstop protects parts during loading

This rugged snap gage features a precision box-way range adjustment channel to protect the anvil shafts and maximize frame clearance.
Features:
- 090" gaging travel is standard, optional with .500"
- Precision box way slide allows 1" of range adjustment
- Rugged frame is machined from 5/8" thick aluminum jig plate
- 5/8" solid carbide lapped anvils with generous lead radius
- Anvils are flat and parallel within .00015" on framesizes below 4", within .0002" on 4"-8" frames, .00025" on 8-12" frames and within .0003" above 12"
- Heat insulating impact resistant handles

Long Range Snap Gages
Dorsey's long range snap gages feature .50" / .12mm of gaging travel and are used to replace many fixed disc setmasters. This option can be fitted to either the SDN or SSG snap gages series frame.
Ranges available:
- SDN snap gages style frame - from 0 to 9"
- SSG snap gages style frame - from 0 to 18"

Adjustable Limit Snap Gages
Adjustable limit snap gages are an economical choice for the go/no go measurement of outside diameters or thicknesses. They are also known as AGD snap gages. Frames are machines from stabilized cast iron and are manufactured to ANSI B47-1-1988.
