Indicating disc gages are used to measure the outside diameter of shafts when obstructions prevent the use of a standard snap gage. They can also be used to measure ID’s if a boss or obstruction in the center prevents the use of a standard bore gage. Indicating discs can be made fixed to a specific size or can be made with adjustable contacts to span a variety of sizes.
Indicating disc gages features:
- .030" gaging contact travel
- Disc is ground approximately .004" over size on fixed models
- .250" of OD adjustment on adjustable models
- Can be used with digital or dial indicator or LVDT probe
- Available in right angle or perpendicular designs to clear obstructions
- Standard 2 point contact, optional 3 point contact
