Dial Groove Gages
Groove gaging, although simple in concept, can be complex in application. Any groove gage used must have retraction in excess of the difference between the bore diameter and the groove diameter. Caliper type gages are often used, but linear action groove gages are preferable, since they are not dependent on a lever ratio and have a much wider range of adjustment.

Dorsey's Dynamike Model DYS groove gage combines a light weight, compact rigid cast frame and a patented ball bushing slide with a series of interchangeable gaging arms. This groove gage is designed to check all types of internal grooves and recesses, such as "O" grooves, oil grooves, thread recesses, washer grooves and retaining grooves.
DYS groove gage features
- .25" (6mm) of gaging travel / retraction
- .25" to .75"(6mm-19mm) diameter range
- 1.25" (32mm) long precision ground adjustment rail
- DYS groove gage can accomodate dial or digital indicators
- Retraction pulls away from indicator

Dorsey's Dynamike Model DYN groove gage combines a patented ball bushing slide with a series of gaging arms to suit almost any application. Gaging contact retraction is accomplished by using a conveniently mounted thumb lever while gaging range adjustment is accomplished by sliding the static gaging arm along its precision ground rail.

- .75" to 4" (19mm - 100mm) diameter range
