SMA Series Adjustable Diameter Setmaster
SMA Series setmasters feature a precision ground steel rail as the rigid foundation for adjustability. These masters can be continuously reset for various dimensions or they can be set, sealed, and pinned to a specific size. SMA setmasters are companion to LDA, LDDA, LDLTA, LBBSA, LDR, LDB and LDAR gages.
SMA Setmaster Features:
- Hardened steel rest
- Reversible end blocks convert between ID and OD
- Anvil features .50" micrometer style fine adjustment
- Accomodate gaging depth 0 - 2"
- Reference restrictor nests gage contact for setting alignment
- .18" wide standard restrictor
To order setmasters, use the following sequence to specify the desired configuration (there is no need to specify configuration for standard items).
Setmaster Type - Rail Size - Gaging Depth - Restrictor Width - Other Options
For example: SMA-24-R25 is a setmaster with 18 - 24" of adjustment, with .25" wide restrictor.
Optional restrictors:
- For .253" wide restrictor add R25 to part # (used with LDR or other gages with .25" contacts)
- For .628" wide restrictor add R62 to part # (used with LDAR, LDB or other gages with .62" contacts)
Reversible 2" long angular anvil and restrictor set for cone and inverted cone, add "-AA" to part #.
Roller rest guides for anvil rest plate, add "-RR".
Special anvil restrictor set for gage height, add "-GH" to part #.
Set and sealed to specific size with NIST traceable certification, order part #SETCERT.
Set and sealed with independant partl ISO 17025 compliant certification, order part #ISO17025.
Note: Set and seal options require purchase of fitted storage case.

SMRA Series Setmaster
This setmaster has the same features and capabilities as the SMA, but accomodated 4 - 12" of overall diameter 0 - 1" depth adjustment to accomodate LDRA series gages. Model SMRA has 4 to 12" range (100 to 300mm).
SMVA Series Adjustable Diameter/Depth Setmaster
SMVA setmasters offer the same features as the SMA Series setmasters except that they allow for vertical adjustment to accomodate various gaging depths. Adjustable hardened rest plates accomodate 0 - 5" gaging depths. Table below lists available models.
