Dorsey Metrology is proud to announce the addition of EasyMeasure and CADFit to its product line. Together, they promise to improve operational efficiency and functionality of our line of optical comparators. The CAD Fit range of products offer the total flexibility to enhance and optimise the operation of your optical comparator at any level. This could be to complement the operation of your existing QC200 or a full upgrade package taking a any comparator without readout and upgrading it to allow the use of Edge Detection with the simple functionality of a readout in Easy Measure complemented by the ability to perform advanced fitting and reporting in CAD Fit.
Easy Measure
EasyMeasure is simple to use, easy to understand, and takes very little time to learn. Its implementation in conjunction with our comparators promises improvement in product functionality through the visual element EasyMeasure provides, and the simplicity synonymous with the EasyMeasure name.
Easy Measure Features:
- Use of comparator products without the need for an overlay.
- The collection and storage of measurement data in a graphic form, in a variety of storage formats.
- The replication of measurement data in a graphical form.
- The printing of produced graphs by most standard printers.
- Windows based 2D software for quick and easy collection of data and assessment within pre-defined measurement routines
- Ideally suited to operator first off checks and general inspection
- Compatible with Edge Detection or footswitch
- Will interface directly to digital readouts e.g. QC200, QC2000 or the PIU
CADFit
CADFit takes non-prismatic point data and represents it in such a way as to allow for modeling, tolerance finding and much more. CADFit can be connected directly to optical comparator digital scales and used to compare measured profile data to a CAD model without the need for overlays. Once inputted, CADFit can automatically align and fit data, as well as apply uniform/non-uniform profile tolerances. CADFit can also produce full graphical and dimensional reports, and reverse engineer data to a CAD template. Completed reports can be either printed or saved in a number of formats, including PDF and HTML.

CADFit Features:
- Read data files from measurement software e.g. QC4000, QC5000
- Perform a number of measurement and analysis tasks automatically via a single mouse click!
- Compare measured profile data to a CAD model with out the need for overlays
- Automatically align and fit the data
- Reverse engineer to a CAD template (e.g. DXF)
- Apply uniform or non-uniform profile tolerances
- CAD Fit will produce a full graphical and dimensional report that can either be printed or saved
- Export to HTML and PDF providing a tangible output and traceability of the inspection process
